Customised furnishings for the elderly

A retirement home with a difference: Girsberger has helped to enhance the quality of life at the new Haslibrunnen centre of excellence with customised furnishings and specially equipped items of furniture. The residents of the home particularly enjoy the hospitable communal areas.

Around 120 years after it was founded, a new, future-oriented centre of excellence for the elderly was built on the plot that had been the site of an existing building. As an important location within the region, it provides a wide spectrum of services ranging from daycare and long-term inpatient care to palliative care. This construction project involved increasing the number of beds to 152 in order to respond to demand. Services are also available for people with dementia, in addition to palliative and transitional care and outpatient care.

The plans drawn up by architecture firm Ducksch Anliker created a pleasant and hospitable atmosphere in the communal lounge areas, as well as the internal and public catering areas. Girsberger was able to contribute to this project with customised furniture for elderly care and furnishings for new communal areas where residents can enjoy spending their time. In addition to this, the furniture was produced in a way that makes it easy to clean thanks to special padding material and upholstery fabrics.
