The origins of the company go back to a woodturner’s workshop, which was founded as a family enterprise in Zurich in 1889. That original company has evolved into the modern-day Girsberger, a furniture manufacturer headquartered in Switzerland with production and sales companies in Germany, Austria, France, Benelux, Spain, Great Britain, and Turkey. The company group is managed by Michael Girsberger who is the great-great-grandson of the company's founder.
