Girsberger

Concert hall Bad Salzuflen, Germany

The town of Bad Salzuflen in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia has subjected its concert hall, built in 1963, to a complete renovation. The building, located in the spa gardens, is under historical preservation protection and is considered to be an outstanding example of spa architecture in the nineteen sixties. After the decision against installing new seats for aesthetic and ecological reasons, it became necessary to find means of refurbishing the old and worn audience seats. Girsberger was able to provide the necessary capacity and know-how. At Girsberger's production plant in the German town of Endingen, the old covers and the foam padding were removed, sorted and disposed of, new foam padding was glued to the seats, the covers were cut and sewn, and the seats received their new upholstery. This all took place within a period of two months. The seats were returned and remounted promptly in time for the opening of the season on May 21, 2010.
